and yes, you are absolutely right to take a positive outlook, and I am very very pleased you have been contacted by a Universal label from LA. You are doing really well, and you are doing exactly the right stuff !! I have been in negotiation with a Universal label in North America (yes, they contacted me ???!!!) bizarrely (not mentioning any names), how many soddin' Universal Labels are there out there !??, and I must say the process has thus far been pretty frustrating, so I am releasing my new album (meant to be out in North America through the supposed Universal Label; !!) myself, in July. What is it with MASTERING ??!! - I want to make it clear right now, Mastering Engineers have no idea what they are doing !!! I don't know how these guys (any girls doing it?) get into this job, did they listen to some Crosby Stills Nash & Young albums in the 70's, and then suddenly decide they could get that silky smooth sound by buggering up every record they work on ??!! I have been to 3 mastering facilities (from one man show to major studios) in ye-olde-London town, and so far every one has managed to make my record sound like the Eagles with all the spikes removed... They give you all this technical bumph about dithering, bit resolution, blah de blah, as if one was born yesterday and then give you a finished product that doesn't sound like the original masters you took in there - have they all gone cloth ears.. the worst thing is they have opinions ! you wouldn't ask the check-out girl in Woolworth's for her opinion on the new Muse album would you ? , so why would they want to give their opinion to me - don't they know I am already opinionated ?! Are major labels really paying these people to bugger up their recordings ?!. So, nnoooowwww, I am buying the software and doing it myself, the moral being - if you want something done properly - DO IT YOURSELF !. if anyone wants advice on how to sprinkle your record with fairy dust in a month just contact me !! hence the delay to my record (I know you are all waiting ! ) ANYWAYS... well done Beverley, it is great to see people getting on without having to humiliate themselves on some trashy pop star teli show... the main thing is keep writing songs, the money is in the copyright - look at Annie Lennox, she doesn't need to be in the papers every day to get her music on adverts, and covered by every one under the sun !

HARVEY GOLDSMITH I LOVE YOU - what a cute little bunny Harvery Goldsmith has turned out to be.  I am not sure why he is doing this TV thingy, it could be because times are tough (UN-LIKELY for Harvey), or that he justs wants to get his luvly mug on teli,,,  but he has turned out to be pretty alright..  Saxon we're just great, and Deighton Club, was brill'.  Well done Harvey, loved every second !  Don't worry Harvery, I'll be knocking at your door with my new record !
