and... I continue further on the question of happy statistics,,, well here's one.... a statistic so ******' depressing it makes me ******' weep as I contemplate it... yes, this is a reflection of our ****** up society.. you know those innocents of road-crossing,, yes, the nice people who help children cross the roads in the morning & afternoons who hold the placard, 'Lollipop Ladies & Gents', they earn a pittance, often retired doing a little part-time job helping the community,, a service to their local people... there are 1400. reported abuses, road-rage, and violence from drivers to Lollipop workers every year,,, so bad now that councils are fitting CCTV cameras to the Lollipop placard... yes, people are so disgusting, so 'out-of-control', they can't let some school children across the road without hurling abuse and attacking Lollipop Ladies... I'm off down the council to apply for a local Lollipop position, only this time I'll be keeping my Kalashnikof stuffed down my trousers..
I'm going to BIG-IT-UP for Portishead this-morning, as I was just reading that they said that "Mark Ronson has done for Soul Music what Shakin' Stevens has done for Rock 'n' Roll", at last someone else who hates this turd of soul music from a team of Tribute artists, Amy, Duffy, Adele (only 1 name - what does it mean!!??)... whatever next, Stray Cats sing hits from Shawadywaddy... Portishead having sold millions of albums perhaps someone will listen to them and stop buying this turgid depressing retro-bollox called neu-soul
Yes, take a good look, this is the face of Britain today..
a crime so heinous its difficult to imagine what sort of background these kids are from that caused them to become so grotesque, so evil, and so unforgivingley out of control.. Obviously they aren't the real criminals, the real people behind this crime are Gordon Brown, Tony Blair before him, the Cameron's, and the rest of their cronies living in green pastures in Addlestone, Guildford, Private Schools for their kids, foreign holidays, a life so privileged and sumptuous as to be completely beyond your average Britain, schooled at Eton, Oxford, Cambridge, so out-of-touch they still allow a mere 17 years sentence for these 2 killers, Brendan Harris, 15, and Ryan Herbert, 16, will be out in their 30's enjoying life, a 'life' that they took away from a beautiful, happy , glorious girl, stamping her to death, stomping on her head like a puppet, until her brain was pulp, vicious, evil, life ebbing away from her. If there was a chance that it may be Brown's kid, or Cameron's kid we would get the death sentence back again. Anything to discourage these sort of killers, fat chance of that.
Ask what any Britain wants now and they would probably ask for Tax breaks for the married instead of the current penalising for hard work and marriage, stomping on crime, with the army and Police out on the streets with water cannons like they do in Germany and France, and the banning of the evil and sick Video Games and films that encourages this behaviour. I look forward to the day when we are scared of the Police again , like kids in the USA, instead of videoing drunken anarchy on our streets in Town centres at night because they are concerned for the drunken violent perpetrator's ‘human rights’, then helping them home, and wasting Ambulance Services and hospital’s time and money caring for them, they should be water cannoned to show that this behaviour in intolerable. A 60 year old couldn't walk through my local town at night - what does that say for the UK now?
The problem with Cameron and Brown is that they are so scared of these big businesses that control everything, so indebted to the 'few' fat cats at the top who are creaming off billions and hold the public to ransom , whilst the poor remain in an ever decreasing cycle of deprivation, that, they are terrified of making changes,.. local authorities creaming millions from Clubs and Pubs opening up and taking over town centres at night, whilst you can hardly get your bin emptied anymore without being fined for letting it 1 inch over its capacity, you can't park because the local Council are making millions from parking fines and tariffs, you can't get water and heat into your home because the Utility companies are creaming billions in profits from outrageous prices beyond the reach of most people... and now green taxes ??!! a cynical and lowlife way of stealing more money from the Public.. if only there were some Public Services in return it would be worth it... me, the fight is almost over , I can't take the stress of this country anymore, everyone's pissed off, stressed, driving at 100 m.p.h everywhere, everyone is ready for a fight, Customer Services talking shit about 'Data Protection', stealing all your personal details so they can batter you with an endless stream of sales... does anyone long for a time before ‘Data’ being held by every single company and government dept so they can batter you down until you can't breath under the weight of crap that surrounds you-you can't even buy a newspaper now without being asked for your "postcode for staff training puroposes". Well these evil boys are certainly data now, a statistic of what Britain has become, run down successively over decades by greedy wee people ripping us all off.

Britain's Got Talent, too *****' right it has, what a masterpiece of ingenuity this Show is. Its the only good thing Cowell has brought to this Earth. So ******' hilarious on a Saturday night I was falling behind the sofa with laughter eruptions (there's gonna be an eruption!)... Sod off all those other Cowell vehicles (yes, I know - she's number one in every country and half the stratosphere), but this is the tip-it-top-it-take-it, in absolute laughter-bums in the air UK embarrassing itself, and then laughing at the consequences.. Its innocent, no-one really gets hurt, none of that dreadful humiliation stuff (there's no mulitmillion £ campaign Cowell has to meet), it has a kinda post-modern irony mixed with Opportunity Knocks... c'mon Simon, this is good - FOR ONCE!! **** the Culture Show, I'm back over to ITV.
I have an admission to make, I have started a campaign of petty theft, you know, I started out with a few small misdemeanours.. sweeties from the local Londis, gnomes from gardens, small shrubs from garden centres, a pack of cut-price mince from the Co-Op, well a lady has to have a ******' career, doesn't she?? because the fascinating and predictable ******' news comes this-morning that life in Prison is so cushtee that given the chance to escape, when warders allowed a security breach at a Jail in West Yorkshire this week, (what would that be then - eeerrr,, leaving the door open ??!), the Prisoners chose to stick in, presumably so they didn't miss East Enders and the Coronation Street Omnibus... so I am hoping they'll be a little knock at my door soon "caught on CCTV madam- taking a crunchie bar from 'One-Stop', and half a bottle of Cider from 'Threshers', not to mention the Hastings Gazette from the local paper shop", down the Cop-chop, fingerprints, wham-bam, into ‘lock-up’ I go... drugs a-plenty, bumming galore, endless teli and I can probably retake my A-Levels and get a Law degree for free given the push - and concerts from Alabama 3, and ****** Billy ****** Bragg (oh save me Lord is this because no one will pay to see him anymore)... well **** me stupid, what ****** country am I living in... in some countries they still chop off your ******* hands if you steal a chicken, and our prisoners are lording it up at my ****** expense, what is the ****' point, I am speechless... ‘Hard Labour’ OOOHHH what happened to you... why knock yourself out working for living, there's always Jail... hang on, what's that knock at the door... I am a supporter of Human Rights, but this is taking the Pee isn't it ??!!
I was going to put in my brill' little piece from Songlink magazine today, but as mostly everyone will have no ******' idea what I'm talking about I have put this in... as it is the most spectacularly well researched piece from WORD magazine. I did buy it, so I can copy it into here (eeerrr.. I think??).. I was talking about Radio a little while ago and how Sirius will take over the planet, and good riddance to commercial (hot) stations, and the dreadful BB (rip-off) c****'*... this is brill' at is a completely accurate analysis of how the mastering process is dictating airplay, and how programme software is now dictating what we can listen to.. it is pretty depressing, a 'must' read... just if there are any pundits out there, I mastered my own record OK!!!!
I went to see WAR last night at the Royal Albert Hall,,, (with Eric Burdon), greeted by a half empty Hall, WAR certainly didn't give a half empty performance, filling this huge Arena with their brilliant California tinged funk, blues and latino distortions... a few youthful faces in the crowd , but mainly the 'denims' brigade who could remember the classics actually being releaesed on vinyl like 'Cisco Kid' and 'Low Rider', WAR did about 30 mins, and I was wondering if Eric Burdon had turned up, and then 'there he was'. The absolutely dreadful thing about this, was that a huge troupe of photographers were led in, in front of the front row (ruining their view), [if I'd been down there a swift kick would have done the business], just as Eric Burdon came on, took a load of photos (there must have been about 20 of them), then were led away after about the 2nd number. Is this what its come to, a press so cynical and jaded they are just led up like sheep, take their picis then **** off,.. I wish I'd been down there, there would have been some smashed cameras... Anyway, Eric has unfortunately lost it. His voice was pretty dreadful, he has acquired that sort of croaky shouting that Roger Daltry does now, all on one note. I'm not sure if this is just a thing with male singers, or that Eric has particularly abused himself - he looked dreadfully out of shape, a huge beer bellie covered by a voluminous shirt. I gotta say the band were amazing, you don't really hear music like this, unless you go and see Santana, percussionists to die for, classic musianship that will probably die with them. They could have easily have done without Eric, but ofcourse he is 'draw' (although not much of one from the lack of bums on seats). Hugely enjoyable, and what a place the Albert Hall is! brill, apart from Eric... he did do House of the Rising Sun, but I have heard it so many times, it has sorta lost its veneer... and his voice is all shouty with none of the great bluesmanship of his early performances... its hard to believe that Burdon was a contendor for one of the biggest stars in the world, eclipsing the Stones during the British invasion of the 60's,,, how the great have fallen.
I gotta a piece in SONGLINK magazine (the prited version) this month - I am a songwriter !!!!!... I'll print it here tomorrow.
not much time today so doo doo doo be doo da da da,,, watched Taxidermia (the film) at the weekend,,, absolutely repulsive, but extremely well done, won't be long before eating is a world class Olympic Event the way things are panning out anyway.. still trudging through my video footage making my new promo, and lotsa stuff planned, along with a Radio campaign in the US later in the year .... and I'm off to see WAR at the Royal Albert Hall later !! tell ya' tomorrow
what a great idea Sirius Radio is... not over here (UK) properly yet.. what I loved was the in-car radio on the hire car I had on my recent trip to the US, and it beamed in Sirius, what a 'set-up', can't wait until its over here, it will blow all these hopeless crappy local radio stations out of the water, along with the dreadful, patronising friend's of the people (as if) Radio 1, and Radio 2, the fortune we pay for a broadcasting license to get exactly what ??? Pay Jonathan Ross 18 million a year, and the supercilious and patronising Jo Wiley, she gotta go straight out with the bathwater, followed by her fat ugly mouthed pal Chris Moyles... if I had the chance I'd shoot him he is so dreadful and ungracious. See how they do on Sirius?, well I realise that Radio 1 is on Sirius, but who could bear to listen to this awful interminable rubbish... I heard more interesting British music on Sirius than I ever do on Radio's 1 or 2. Listening to Mark Radcliffe in the evening is just a never ending production line of oldies and new American bands. If they dropped every hapless new US indie act for some solid UK new music some talented UK bands may have half a ******' chance. .. and If they play one more Duffy track I'll chuck the ******' Radio through the window. Mark, I'm comin' to see you at the John Cooper Clarke gig, and I'll have a few words to say to you!
I liked the thing where you can choose stations by genre, programme it in to your in-car Radio, and 'wham-bam' wotcha maamm'... I'll be the first in the queue for Sirius here, the death of Radio, long live Radio.
blimey that new Portishead stuff is a bit Einstürzende Neubauten... what can you say, the 80's lives!! although whole tracks with industrial sounding drums, a bit of esoteric singerey does not a songeth maketh, but it is good to see people's trying something different, .. I can't anything against them just because they are from near Bristol... non chatteries from me thus-evening (I am sounding a bit Clockwork Orangey here aren't I, perhaps I should start my own language - Esperanto where are you ??)... I am really quite excited about my vidj bits and bobs slowly coming together, and have bought some software to start up-dating my website(s) today, cos the web people I have all been spokenning to (Clockwork - stop it) are all useless, and too expensive, and who wants some corporate looking rubbish, personally I would prefer a short film of a mouse eating a piece of cheese, but can any of them do this??! Here are stills from my new video coming up, once I get over some technical difficulties (like trying to stop my taught lovely tummy looking like ten-ton-tessie on film)..
I am refurbishing all my web sites, although it isn't actually me, as not only do I not have time, also, the level of quality & innovation needed to compete in any sort of marketplace is beyond my capabilites, although I could always go to night-school, but life is too short to spend that much time in front of the PC, already too much time spent looking at a screen (don't you find??)... anyways, I am coming up with the ideas.. and have just finished filming the ghetto blaster that is going to be my leading ident.. here it is !! I love it, I could watch it all day..
and more from my recent US sojourn....
Foreign Policy isn’t a strong point of the USA, after all , why would it be ?? Like Chuck Berry said, "Everything you want they got it right here in the USA", but will that be the reason for their downfall, it’s almost the failing of an Empire, such is the deepness of the financial recession, and it can only get worse... you do really wonder about a nation that it spending billions in Iraq to bring back cheap Oil, when there are now queues of hundreds of thousands for food stamps... I was reading in the NY Times on my recent trip a thing about the demise of British telephone boxes (you know the Red Ones), and the article was so inaccurate and badly researched, and full of errors (like calling ‘British Telecom’, ‘British Telephone’), I almost felt I was reading about a Britain still stuck in 1952, cucumber sandwiches and croquet on the lawns... Lack of foreign Policy is OK for a few decades, but you can’t live with your head in the sand forever.
