Its like getting too much change in a shop, its a dilemma.. you need to be quick, ‘shall I take the money ?!’ ‘its a big outfit, they can afford it, but then again its stealing,,, but they’re ripping me off anyway’ ‘what to do?!’ of course if you take the cash you’re sure to be arrested, punched to the ground by a surly security guard, jostled by the Police, embarrassing court appearances, losing your job, , house, car, partner, all over 5 pence change... oh take the money .. **** it, thats what OBAMA is saying... you couldn’t really turn down a billion, then about another 4 billion over the pathetic $85 million that the Public Purse is giving him in the US Presidential elections, even though it has made him a liar already... its ******’ hilarious, its all about the ******’ money to these people, he could have done OK with the Public Funds, a million a day will buy you a lot of sincere and annoying TV adverts, but no, that's not enough, he has gone back on his word already, and decided to take the billions offered by contributors to his funds. I would do the same if I were him because I’m not a politician, I’m allowed to lie , cheat, scrabble around in the pool of despair that us ordinary beings have to contend with... I would be piling millions in to offshore bank accounts and buying up Islands of the coast of Panama (are there Islands there - must be ?), go in for a minor operation in some South American hospital, and quietly leave through the back door when no-one’s watching... but that's me !!! not the superhero of American politics, that all the little people have been donating their $25. dollars to, to get rid of the lying inept turd brain that they currently have residing in Capital Hill... c’mon kids if he’s lying now what's he going to do when he gets in ??!! liar liar pans on fire..

I was extremely impressed by The Verve at Glastonbury,,, not a big fan, but they seem to have turned in to a confident & huge stadium band, and certainly Richard Ashcroft has taken control, I liked the fact that he really sings, and has pushed his voice live and that there was so much space in their sound... I wish someone would give Mark Ronson a push off the precipice though, this was the most dreadful and 'show-band' load of tripe I've ever heard... why not go the whole hog and book himself out for weddings.. ******' dreadful, and take Lilly Allen with you, doesn't even know the lyrics to her own hit records.. probably because her Dad wrote it..

This is clearly an instance of "don’t judge an album by its cover," because the tracks were loaded with some of the best tracks I have heard in a while. Filled to the brim with an eclectic mix of shoegaze and soul, peace and power, rhythm and restlessness, Marshall Star’s Cosmos is a winner. From the first track "Goodbye Truly," I was presented with a taste of vocalist Mandy’S Bright powerful breath competing with the complex, noisy layers of post-punk sound, and I knew that there were going to be some gems on the recording. Track 4 "The Pleasure Seekers" eerily reminds me with its desolate lyrics and its heavy synth-pop beat of Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of These)." Track

we’re not far off a Guns ‘n’ Roses reunion, to cash in on Axl’s new album, 14 years and $14. million in the making, and who can blame him, I would do exactly the ******’ same, as well as sacking the band a dozen or so times... ******’ bands , you can’t trust them w******, after all look at that Coldplonk band, Chris Martin is ok, the funny dancing, and a bit monkey man and flailing arms at the front of the stage,,, he was looking a bit ‘rock me daddio’ the other night when I saw him at the BBC,.. like yer dad doing the Dad dance, but he is essentially all right even though he is having a homosexual relationship with Ricky Gervais, and Jo Wiley (well a threesome actually-its official you heard it here first)... I was just listening to a bit of that Stone Roses album, you know, the comeback one that sounded like Led Zeppelin without the screamy vocals.. and it did sound really good which got me to thinking that they will almost definitely be back together by this time next years, just in time for the plethora of endless festival appearance opportunities,,, along with the Axl’s & Slashy’s reunion, coz Velvet Revolver’s are finished aren’t they... I should be a Rock writer shouldn’t I, coz I seem to know so mush about what’s going in, the only problem being that I do like music and I wouldn’t be able to slate people’s life’s works, all that creativity and crystal plastic CD covers gone to waste, because it has to be demeaning to be a music critic, all that frustration that they we’re never quite what they wanted to be, always looking on at something they admire, or despise, and even when they admire it, they pretend to despise it, or they just don’t even bother to listen,, the other problem being that their little writing fingers can’t get those plastic cellophane covers off, so tired from all those endless free gigs they have to attend,, soooo tired listening to music, how do they do it ??,,, and (where was I), back to Chris Martin, sack the band and get one of those Elton John hair transplants, or get the curly mop greased down over your big extra cleverly forehead, Ricky would like that... so and on to more reviews, I saw myself unbelievably on Teletext, for those of you out there who may not live in the UK, its a naff and crappy way to buy holidays and things, that is in a really bad place on the TV remote, about 277 on the programmes list, not that anyone looks at it anyway thankfully, and I don’t know how they get hold of it (my CD album), as I never ******’ sent them a copy, but it got the most awful 2 out of 10, which I guess I should be thankful for, when I see what they gave 8 out of 10 to... and when I see they gave Sigur Rusk 5/10, if I was liked I may be doing the wrong thing... but what made me chuckle, and made me realise that they hadn’t opened the cellophane wrap , as, due to the fact (previously mentioned) that they have very poorly tired out little pandy-handy fingers, they compared my album , and yes, get this, to music used in Star Wars, and in the film Never Ending Story,,, that would be bloody all right by me, I WISH ! I would love to get my tracks in those films, so Jenny Pashkova, just because you didn’t even open the wrapper, I know where you are and I am not one of those people who take ignorant journo’s well, I am a little bit Morrissey, a little bit Kray Twins, see ya’ soon ! put that on your rubbish student CV when your trying to find a decent job in the music industry and smoke it, and I’m residing in my palatial palace counting the residuals from ‘Never Ending Story’ nnniiiicccceeeeee... anyway, here’s a 'review' Jen’s, try some writing for a change, and 49 friends on mySpace.cok, what can I say?....

It could be thought of as a handicap, perhaps if you had no success, then you are lumbered with the same name, or, w're big in the 80's and everyone says, (adopt stupid probing and sarcastic voice)', "aren't you Nik Kershaw, my sister liked you and I had to come to a gig at Hammersmith Odeon, and you we're crap, but I had to come along as she had tickets, you didn't move on stage and seemed embarrassed about the whole thing, and the percussionists had more personality, and aren't you a vegetarian, Oh, that's Howard Jones isn't it ? I like him though, do you know him ?,, I'd ask for your autograph but my sister likes the Boyszone now", well I made all that up, it wasn't very good really, but you get the gist... Peaches- always and forever!

I wouldn't mind the 80's revival if it we're all JAMC and eerr someone else, well maybe The Scars or something , although that was almost more 70's wasn't it ? but it seems to be all Pet Shop Boys (Neon Neon), and eerr someone else... well , there are dozens of bands, but the likes of Glasvegas really get on my nerves, so contrived , so 'not getting it' (i.e. do something original of your own, even JAMC managed to turn Velvets into something completely *****' mind blowing and outtta this world, shame they've now got Scarlet bloody dreadful Jahansen (right spelling,.. ? oh who cares) singing with them)... as inflation pumps up, food prices escalate, and Oil running out, and I want to punch virtually every one I see walking around with a dog on a lead the 80's are probably here, or was that the 70's ?, who knows, why keep going back, can no-one look forward without thinking backwards...

Its gotta be difficult for Chris Martin, all those headaches over what falafel to choose for lunch,, slightly receding looking a bit like my Dad,, I can see the record company, stroke, video production company, stroke, wank fest self indulgent turgid meeting, stroke, stroke, etc (insert your own insight here), "don't worry lads that the drummer and bass player look a bit like the evil Uncle in Tommy (come hither little boy whilst I masturbate, so on), because we have this fantastic new video f/x package that will make you look like you are Supermen flying through the air, and at the same time put you in trendy clothes, a bit street cred, a bit Rolling Stones, just stand in front of the blue screen, jump around a bit, wave your arms and it'll all be done for you.. no need for any imagination, creativity, or input from the eerr band "

We all know that bands had to have talent to look eerrr sound good in video's once, even Duran Duran had something, and Michael Jackson made the best videos of all time, coz he is truly talented and it drips out of the screen over you.. but for Coldplay it may as well be a day spent in the office (graphic designer, at the worst Lithographic Printers, perhaps a job in the media, or software design ??) a round of Golf, then we'll go and knock out the video, just one take, band a military drum like U2 did 20 years ago (no-one will remember will they ?) and you're there. Coldplay , slightly dumpy conservative MP types throw their arms around a bit to Living La Vida Loca, then a tone of expensive f/x put on afterwards, lazing tossers....

A felt a little bit sorry for the Pistols at the weekend, although they'll come out of it with about a million quid each, compared with the Police, they should have stayed in shape a bit more, it sounded ok, it is 30 years on, but Steve has spent a bit too much time by the pool in LA scoffing creme cakes and Heineken Export.. although Glen Matlock looks pretty good, I did feel like they were struggling a bit.. I liked the shots of the 10 year old singing along to the C&W piss take version of Pretty Vacant, the irony completely lost, not knowing that this wasn't the right version.. go Johnny Go

Here's my lowdown of the mowdown:

THE ENEMY; The Jam without the songs

AMY MacDONALD - very good, great voice, nice songs,, what I like is her voice seems older than her years, unlike craperello Duffy and Adele

WOMBATS; save me from this lot - hopeless

JING JANG JONGS; If I see 1 more skiiny jeaned Hoxton band I'm going to **********

Pistols rather the Coldplay anyday though, whatever the age..

I am supporting the Shell Tanker drivers walk-out... I am all for running out of fuel, who cares ?? stop the cars, stop the traffic... we are being taxed to taxematosis on everything anyway, just so the government can drain one last little penny out of all of us, we are getting the absurd and vacuous 'green taxes' too.. I am all for dumping all the cars anyway,, its a battle field out there with cars, everyone angry or not watching, overtaking, 120 mph on the motorways queued, driving so close they may as well be in the car with you... so good on 'em, they haven't had a pay rise since 1992 ! because the greedy bastards Shell have subcontracted out all the driving, sacking their work force then employing them back on restrictive and unfair contracts , dumping their pension schemes, as 'fat-cat' bosses walk away with billions the people who make the business work are left with nothing... we have engendered a culture in this country of 'take take take', and these businesses aren't willing to put anything back...
